Does Having Unprotected Sex While On Implanon Cause Pregnancy?
Hi there, i have been using the Implanon device as a form of contraception for about 8 months now with no periods. This weekend i had unprotected sex multiple times with my partner, i am slightly worried and was wondering if it would be necessary to take the morning after pill?

Understand your concern
There may be possibility of pregnancy as implanon has also failure rate and you had also multiple sexual intercourse.
There may be high chance if you had done sexual intercourse in fertile period of cycle but it is not clear from your history.
You have to take morning after pill within 72 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse. But i think you have no period and time already has been gone so no need to take morning after pill.
If period will delay by 10-12 days then you have to go for urine pregnancy test and or blood HCG to confirm pregnancy.
Other cause of no period without pregnancy is hormonal imbalance should be rule out by go for reproductive hormone profile.
Period can be induced by giving medroxyprogesterone preparation in absence of pregnancy.
