Does Discontinuing Syndopa Tablet Cause Occasional Pain At The Back Of The Head?

My relative is 86 years old. He got prescribed syndopa even though he had no Parkinson disease symptoms. He had been taking syndopa 110 mg 2 times a day. I am trying to get him to reduce unnecessary medication. His primary physician agreed he has no classic Parkinson symptoms. So we stopped one tablet for about 2 months now. He has no adverse effect due to that. He complains sometimes his head hurts in the back at times. Is this a withdrawal symptom? I would like him to stop the remaining one tablet as well. His head hurting in the back- is this something I need to worry about more when he stops the second tablet? Please advise.

Cannot say in his particular case but:
withdrawal would be expected to be soon after stopping a medicine.
It would be expected to be all over and not in one spot (narcotic withdrawal causes pain; it is all over pain not in one spot).
It would be expected to be continuous and not periodic (again, the example of narcotic withdrawal this occurs as soon as the drug leaves the system, lasts for about a week and doesn't have breaks in the middle).
It would be expect to be associated with the actions of the drug: pain medicine withdrawal causes pain, sedative withdrawal causes agitation not the other way around.
