Does Clusters Of Red Bumps In Mouth And Gums Suggest Herpetic Stomatitis?
Hi; my husband received Zithromax and rocephin & a few days later has clusters of red bumps on roof of mouth & gums. No white patches noted on his tongue. He is rinsing with warm, salt water gargles. Would diflucan help also, or does it seem like just herpetic stomatitis?

I really appreciate your concern, such mouth lesion could be due to drug induce although this may not be sure but you need to stop the drug that he is taking for few days, the lesion may come around on its own, till then this can be managed with "Povidone Gargle" if this is not fungal infection then "Diflucan" wont work here but may be given on tentative basis if this does not come around, hope this information helps, take care.
