Does Burning Sensation In AMD (dry) Patient Require Immediate Medical Attention?

Hi my husband was diagnosed with AMD (dry) christmas eve, this came on very suddenly, both eyes, this morning complaining of burning in back of eyes, he is type 2 diabetic, sugar levels good ...to ok, due to see opthamologist on 17th of this month after brain scan, is any cause for concern due to this burning, which has eased now,

It seems from the history that your father is having age related macular degeneration and he is also having diabetes.
Age related macular degeneration will not lead to burning sensation, this can be caused by conjunctival inflammations.
Hence no need to worry regarding this problem as it is not serious. But he needs regular evaluation of retina for age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
