OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

As per your description, it appears that she is perhaps experiencing hormone imbalances, the cause of which should be explored. I would like to see the sonogram report, if possible.

Thick endometrial stripe can be due to several reasons and is suggestive of unopposed estrogen action. I would also like to know if pregnancy has been excluded. I would also like to know if the bleeding episodes had profuse period like bleeding or spotting with altered blood.

If pregnancy is excluded, further management includes hormone therapy, endometrial biopsy and management of life style. This needs to be done under expert surveillance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam,
