Does Zyrtec Cause Sleep Pattern Disruption And Hallucinations?

My father is 86 with a history of sensitivity to medication. I think he is having a reaction to generic Zyrtec(of which was okayed by his physician). He is experiencing interrupted sleep while also having visual hallucinations or nightmares. Increased sleep during the day. Talking of people in the family that my brother and I have never heard of, concentration issues as well. While we only gave him zyrtec as prescribed for the last 3 days and these symptoms starting last night so we discontinued today. Would these symptoms be related to the zyrtec??

Zyrtec or also called Cetirizine has some side effects

Side Effects
Drowsiness, tiredness, and dry mouth may occur. Stomach pain may also occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

If your doctor has prescribed this medication, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: difficulty urinating, weakness.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing.
