Does Zincovit Cause Rise In Blood Sugar Level?

Iam diabetic since 7 yrs. 39 yrs old taking medicine Zomelis 50/500, Diabetrol SR daily. and last month my HBA!C was 7.3. But two week back I met a dermatologist and taking ointment and Zincovit for my skin desease and now suddently my sugur level is incresed as FBS 180 and PPBS more than 300. Is it because of taking Zincovit..? kindly suggest

Thanks for posting your question on the HCM!

In addition to multivitamins and zinc the Zincovit tablet also contains small amount of potossium iodide.
None of these ingredients are responsible for the rise in blood glucose level.
The possibility of ointment (assumed to be Corticosteroids) getting absorbed from the intact skin and causing a rise in blood sugar is also unlikely in fact it can increase the BP, body weight in certain people.

I am of the opinion that the medications Zomelis 50/500, Diabetrol SR used are unable to control the blood sugar, you will have to consult your doctor for the possibility of starting Insulin along with some the tablets mentioned above and to maintain HBA1c level less than 7.
