Does Voltaren Cause Constipation And Vomiting?

I recently (10 days ago) had left hip impingement/torn labrum surgery. I am taking voltaren. Within these ten days I have had two pretty bad diverticulitis flare ups, this includes vomiting. Could this medicine be causing constipation, with the constipation aggrevating the diverticulitis?

Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for your health concern

Voltaren (diclofenac) will not cause constipation. However, since you are in post operative period and not moving around as usual, the immobility can cause constipation and diverticulitis flare up. Please be advised to move around as much as possible. Also, drink plenty of water, eat fiber rich food like oat, bran, vegetables. You can also take dulcolax for constipation relief.
