Does Rcifax Have Adverse Side Effects?

H i, I am Padmaja Ranade, age 48 , wt 70 kg, ht 5 2 . I have fatty liver , border line cholestrol , normal sugar and BP. i am suffring from stomatch upset since 10 days, i tride bifilac for about 4days twice daily, but no reliefe than my doctor started O2 twice daily, but after three days the problem returned now he has adviced me to take Rcifax 200 mg twice daily. there seem to be severe side effects of the drug which he failed to mention. should i take the drug or not . Please advice .

Hello,
Rcifax is given for some bacterial infection in your gut( especially if you have had that after travelling to or from another place), yes every medication has few or more of the side effects, May be your doctor must not have mentioned that because the dose which was given was a low dose ( it can cause headache, syncope, giddiness, rash, bloating, constipation n few others ), if you have any hypersensitivity reactions ( rash or so) please stop it and consult your doctor .Hope I could help you.
