Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. It is unlikely that physiologically the two conditions are related. However, stress can be an underlying cause for both the conditions. Your description of the symptoms suggest that she is perhaps suffering from GERD. There could be an associated esophageal spasm and/or esophagitis resulting in painful swallowing. A proper clinical exam is needed by a physician to plan further management. PCOD can be taken care of once she is stabilized. Hope this helps.
