Does Metoprolol, Atorvastatin And Lipitor Cause Tiredness And Fatigue?

I had a stent put in place my dr prescribed the usual after heart protecting medicines, so I have metoprolol, effient, atorvastatin and lipator, I understand that when taking a few of these they can produce tiredness, however my question is that if my blood pressure was not high and still isn;t doe the blood pressure reducing medicine that I am taking accentuate the symptoms of fatigue, also my cholesterol was not high either, I am sure that my dr. released me from the hospital with these meds and will perhaps change them when I go back in for my visit in 10 days, but in the meantime just wondering if in fact my blood pressure can go to low and prodeuce more fatigue than normal with these meds. I started back at the gym and seems that it is very hard to get my pulse rate up. thank-you

Dear Sir/ Madam
Thanks for writing to us.
Yes. Metoprolol and lipitor, both can cause fatiguability, muscle pain & tiredness. Out of these four medicines , only metoprolol can decrease blood pressure, however it has not been given to you for reducing blood pressure but to keep your heart rate under check and to protect it from anginal episodes. It does not dramatically decreases blood pressure in those with normal baseline BP and is likely to continue for long duration. If there is a precipitous fall in your BP after taking this drug it may produce tiredness and it may have to be withdrawn, but more often than not, BP falls itself for sometime after acute heart events (if that was the reason for stenting in your case).
Hope this provides some insight into the issue.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
