Hello,
Thankyou for asking your question at health care magic
Bright red bleeding from vagina post total
hysterectomy defenitely deserves a visit to your doctor.
It can be due to several reasons like
-post menaupausal thinning of vaginal.mucosa and mild irritation can cause bleeding
-Any benign/malingnant growth in vagina
-Use of anti platelet / anti coagulation medication
Any bleeding of uncertain cause require a visit to your doctor. Your doctor will do a pelvic examination and even need a
biopsy to look for presence of abnormal cells.
Linzess do not cause vaginal bleeding. How ever
rectal bleeding can sometimes be mistaken for vaginal bleeding. If you develop
diarrhea / blood in stools while on linzess discontinue the medication, and immediately go to the emergency room.
Bleeding from
rectum also need evaluation as it may be due to hemmarhoids, anal.fissures, polyps or even GastroIndestinal malignancy and require full work up.
I suggest that you consult your doctor for full work up.
Hope I was able to answer your questions
Please feel free to address any more concerns
Regards
Dr.Lekshmi
