Does Levothyroxine Cause Hot Flashes?
Thank you. I just want to inquire if levothyroxine can be causing hotflashes? I have been taking it for the past 3 months at a dose of 50 mg/per day and have started having overwhelming hot flashes since that time. I am wondering if cutting the dose in half would be of any benefit.

Yes this could be from your dosage of the Levothyroxine being too high.
Your doctor needs to know about this and he needs to check your TSH level which should be in the 1.0-2.0 range. If it's lower then that, the dosage needs to be reduced
