Does Ipratropium Bromide Cause Rashes On The Back, Chin And Buttocks?

Yes, I just started taking breathing treatments with Ipratropium Bromide 0.5 and Albuterol Sulfate 3mg. Since I started this I m having a rash, that started under my chin an now on my back and butt cheeks. could I be having a reaction to the Ipratropium Bromide? I have never had a reaction to my Albuterol inhaler. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There is some cases of ipratropium hypersensitivity/allergic reaction. You might be one of such case. it might also happen that it can be an unlucky coincidence that rash developed for other reasons but at the same time you started ipratropium. Need not worry. It will resolve once you stop/ change the drug under your doctor's advice. Meet your doctor for changing the drug which will do the trick. Get well soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arihant Pandey
