Does Avodart Intake Harm Sexual Health?
Hi, I am 46 years old men. Dermatologist prescribed me Avadart( dutastride0.5 mg 2 capsule per day for first two month and then one cap per day for one year),for hairloss treatment, I am concerned how often sexual side effects occurs with this medication? Does it worth to try? I really want to solve my hair loss problem but I don t want to damage my health. Please help me.

Avodart causes sexual dysfunction when used orally in high dose. Also this side effect is seen in early stage of treatment and usually resolves with progress of time even if you continue taking it. You can try it for one year as it has proven benefit in hair loss. You have to prioritize things – sex versus hair.
Advice
1. Continue Avodart as suggested for one year
2. Apply minoxidil 5% solution locally in scalp every 12 hours daily for one year
3. High protein and vitamin rich diet such as eggs, meat, vegetables, cheese etc.
4. Do not take much tension as anxiety/depression aggravates hair loss
