Do The Herpes Have Been Transmitted?

Hi I got. A question I got this girlfriend that I've been dating for aboout 1 yr. She got stationed with me. She got a call from her ex about a week ago saying that she probley has herpes. She has never had an outside or any kinds of abnormalities down there. Just 2 months ago she had a pap and she was tested fpr a lot of shit like chlamida gon, hiv,hep, and she was neg intraepithieal and malignancy and negative for everything else? Do we need to worry about herpes?

thank you for query.herpes whether type 1 or 2 can be transmitted by sexual route or by kiss or by skin to skin contact.there are chances that you would have got it earlier in your life through any of these modes .They can present symptomatically as vesicles etc.Sometimes even asymptomatic individuals are also found and they have antibodies detected which indicate past infection.SO you need to be more careful when active lesions are present.testing for herpes antibodies (IG G for HSV 1 and 2) in her can allay your fears You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos and details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
