Do Anti-TB Drugs Have Permanent Side Effects?

Hello. My husband was given Anti TB drugs after he had his right upper lobe of his lung removed. He never had Tb and suffered severe reactions to the drugs. He s been off of them now for three weeks. How long can side effects last and could there be permanent damage?

Hi,
The information regarding the side effects is completely missing. The only mention is that the side effects are serious. With this scant information, let me try to explain you about drug induced side effects.
Many of the side effects of drugs subsides gradually once the drug has been stopped. But if the side effects are serious and if any organ is extensively involved, there are chances of irreversible sequence. If you can get back with what type of serious side effect your husband has suffered from, then we can explain whether it is permanent or not.
Hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healthcaremagic.
