Do Abnormal Head Pain, Loss Of Appetite And Dizziness Require Medical Attention?
I had the influenza A 8 days ago. The morning I woke up with it I had this very weird head pain. nothing I have ever had. its almost like my brain is pressing against my skull. I have high loss of appetite and when I take my glasses off I get very dizzy which has never happened, I do have a slight mucus drainage. but its very light. is this something I should go to see a doctor or can I take an over the counter.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be earlier signs of acute upper respiratory tract infection or some viral infection and at this moment OTC analgesics like acetaminophen and anti histamines like Cetrizine can be used mucus drainage persists. If the pain worsens or prolonged, a baseline review by your primary care physician may be sought. Along with baseline blood work up, X-ray para-nasal sinuses may also be needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
