Do Clindamycin And Amoxicillin Have Any Side Effects?
I had a tooth infection whcih the endondist said was severe and he gave me Clindemyacin (I believe that was the name). My dentist had earlier given me Amoxicylin. After completing the 10-pill regimen, I started to feel an aching in my stomach and back, reminisent of the pain that I d had 30 years ago with UTIs. However I hae no burning sensation when urinating. I feel the urge to urinate more, and when I do urinate, there is a good flow. Could I get some kind of infection from taking all these antibiotics? Should I go to my doctor? I ve had these symptoms for 3 days.

Clindamycin and Amoxicillin are both antibiotics and they may cause stomach irritation, so this is why you had the stomach pain with their use. On the other hand, they may also alter the normal bacteria in the bowel and skin and may predispose for genital yeast infection.
Genital yeast infection (thrush) may cause urinary symptoms such as burning and frequency.
It is recommended for you to see your doctor, have a good physical examination and urinalysis and then if the doctor thinks your symptoms are due to thrush, he will prescribe the necessary treatment for you.
