Differentiate DL Scopy And Biopsy Surgeries

I am a 49 years age male who has undergone total Laryngectomy and its been two months that the surgery is done. But still i am not able to swallow anything including liquids...now the doctor has suggested a DL Scopy and Biopsy...could you please let me know what is the difference between these two procedures and how they are done.

DL scoot is viewing the larynx directly using a scope. if doctor sees anything suspicious he can take a biopsy at the same time.
