Did I Strained My Groin While Forcefully Moving The Leg Out,and What Is The Cause Of Bruising In Scrotum?

Details: 24 hrs ago doing jiu-jitsu laying on back, right leg was forcefully moved open as I was attempting to close it, felt multiple small popping/crackling at time of injury, sensitive to touch at upper inner thigh and lower center to right abdomen above penis, some inflamation noticeable, barely noticeable discoloration at sight if injury/pain, moderate to high level of pain when leg is attempeted to be moved closed, walk/sit/stand with slight discomfort, have concern due to dark purple/black brusing in middle to upper right side of scrotum, but no pain in testicles. Is it likely I did strain my groin and to what degree? Is the brusing in my scrotum simply the settling/spreading of blood from the injury sight or something else?

Thanks for your query.
From the description, I feel that you might have sustained a SOFT TISSUE STRAIN involving your ligaments or tendons.Cause of bruising is likely due to rupture of microvasculature.
This will generally resolve within few weeks by the following measures -
* Rest to the injured part and don't involve in activities which puts additional strain on the injured tissues.
* Ice packing should be applied for about 20 minutes once in every 2 hours.
* Analgesic & anti inflammatory medications
