Yes, I went to the dermatologist today and was told I have Periadnexal Lymphocytic With Focal interface changes. He did not say if I should have further testing but the report in the comment section that has Clinicopathologic correlation is recommended. Does that mean I should follow up again with the PCP? Thank you
Hello and welcome to HCM, The histopathological examination of the skin biopsy suggests presence of collection of lymphocytes (chronic inflammatory cells) around the adnexal structures e.g. hair follicles, sweat glands, and sebaceous glands. These findings do not suggest any specific diagnosis. These findings need to be correlated with clinical features of the skin lesion. You do not need to get a repeat biopsy. You need to show up the histopathological report to your dermatologist.
