Diagnosed Irregular Prostrate From Colonoscopy. Can Prostate Be Seen In Colonoscopy?

I recently had a colonoscopy done and today I had a call my from my primary doctor stating that an irregular prostrate showed up on the colonoscopy. I contacted the doctor's office who did the procedure and as of this evening his office has not received back any tests results. My question is while having a colonoscopy can the doctor see the prostrate and should I be alarmed by this questionable information.

Hi,

Based on the information provided it seems like you had a colonoscopy, and your surgeon found the irregular prostate and now you want to know is it possible to see the prostate and should you be worried about it.

The answer to the question of seeing the irregular border of the prostate is- Yes it's possible to see the irregularities in prostate border but is not directly seen, its an indirectly visibility, like a bony prominence is felt through the skin layer as well as muscle present around it.

Now about should you be worried, most of the time the irregular border around the prostate gland is due to some kind of tissues growth. I insist to have it fully checked.

Thanks for the query.
