Diagnosed Blepharitis Of Left Upper Eyelid, Stye And Conjunctivitis Of Left Eye. Explain

Hello I went to the DR on Thursday and she said I had Blepharitis of the left upper eyelid, stye and Conjunctivitis of the left eye. The swelling has gone down some but my eyelid is still swollen and is now flaking after doing the cleansing of diluted warm water and baby shampoo. The skin under the eye seems swollen and kinda of yellow. She prescribed antibiotics and eye drops which I am doing faithfully. Do you think I need to get into an eye specialist?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having blepharitis of the upper eye lid associated with stye and conjunctivitis.
Blepharitis is the inflammation of the eye lid margin and this can predispose to the development of stye and for conjunctivitis.
The treatment you are on by antibiotics will take care of stye and conjunctivitis, but you also require treatment for blepharitis.
The treatment for blepharitis is by lid hygeine, lid scrubs....
Hence I advice you to consult eye doctor for treatment of blepharitis.

Thank you
