Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
The causes for blood in the urine (
hematuria) are multiple, and as you are not experiencing any other symptoms, I can only provide you with very general information. Let me thus, list the causes for hematuria for you:
-Kidney or bladder stone
-
Urinary tract infection (UTI)
-Kidney disease
-Kidney cancer
-Bladder cancer
-Kidney or bladder infections
-Tumor in bladder, kidney or prostate
-Kidney injury
-Vigorous exercise
-Prostate enlargement
-Anemia (
sickle cell anemia)
-Medications (eg. heparin, aspirin, penicillin,
phenazopyridine,
cyclophosphamide, etc.)
As you have mentioned seeing drops of blood even after a bowel movement, I would like to ask you if this is fresh blood seen along with your stool, or from your urethra itself?
Fresh blood is a sign of a lower gastrointestinal bleed (GIT), and will have to be examined at the earliest. Please visit your doctor without further ado.
I request you to please consult your doctor and get yourself diagnosed and treated at the earliest.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
