Could You Suggest Suitable Eye Drop For The Dryness In Eyes Due To Lens Implant?

Hello Sir, as a result of the eye injury, I had to undergo lens implant 10 years back. Since then I have been using Glucomol 0.5% eye drop. The side effects have been dryness in eye & losing the drop effectiveness in 4-5 hours of the use. I have recently tried iotim and it feels much better. I feel that glucomol is an outdated eye drop & I should switch to better eye drop which is more advanced. Can you pls suggest a suitable eye drop for me.

Hello
It seems from the history that you had a injury following which you have undergone lens implant. You are using glucomol 0.5% eye drops. This is a antiglaucoma drug used for treatment of glaucoma. Though it is very effective antiglaucoma drug it is known to cause dryness of eyes as you are experiencing. Iotim is also antiglaucoma drug it also contains same ingredient timolol.

With the advances in pharmacology, the first line of drug for glaucoma is prostaglandin analogues, hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for change of eye drops.

Thank you
