Suggest Treatment For Squint In Eye With Double Vision

I AM 50 YEARS 0LD, HAD RIGHT EYE INJURY BEFORE 35 YEARS WITH SHARP COMPASS INSTRUEMENT, AND HAD NEEDLING & AC WASH. MY LEFT EYE IS OK WITH NORMAL SPECKS VISION. IN RIGHT EYE THE VISION WITH +6 LENSE IS VERY VERY POOR. HAVE SQUINT AND IF WEAR LENSE THEN THE VISION IS DOUBLE. HENCE PREFER NOT TO WEAR. PROPABABLY MY OPTIC NERVE IS DAMAGED. Dr.WHAT IS THE LATEST DEVELOPMENT TO TREAT IT. IS IT WORTH TO HAVE INTRAOCULAR LENSE FORV RIGHT. WHAT TEST SHOULD I GO THROUGH NOW. SINSE I AM 50, NOW MY LEFT MAY DEVELOP CATARACT IN FUTURE, SO WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE FOLLOWED. I HAVE SHOWN MY EYES TO Dr KEIKI MEHTA & Dr. NATRAJAN IN MUMBAI. KINDLY ADVICE YOUR OPINION. what is status of cornea? is it also opaque? if cornea is clear than you must have good vision with specks also. in case lens is cataractous you can go through cataract surgery which will solve problem of double vision. there is no medicine to prevent cataract to develop. so far research say that if you eat healthy diet than it can delay cataract progression. An eye drop potassium iodide is believed to delay catarct progression but this is not proved yet.
