Could Tingling In Arm And Headache Be Related To Migraine?

My daughter started having some vision problems with some facial numbness and arm tingling. A little bit of a headache followed with headache the next day as well. This was about 1 week ago. In the meantime she had strep throat--which she was treated for. Now, she has some lingering arm tingling and mild headache. She does have a history of having 1 or 2 migraines about 4 years ago. Do you think this is related to migraine?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think that hand numbness may be related to nerve compression possibly in cervical spine. The headache may be related to it also. Take anti-inflammatory drugs such Advil for headache.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
