Could There Be A Injury To The Varicose Veins Which Is Causing Pain And Stiffness?

Just fell on the ice and landed on my knee and calf where I have varicose veins. No fracture, walking just fine but with moderate pain and stiffness. There is now a hard bruise developing right where a big varicose vein is. Any worries about injury to that vein?

The varicose vein has probably ruptured or burst due to the trauma- Its a known complcation. You should were compression stockings, have analgesic medicines for pain and Heprain ointment to be applied locally and subsequently get surgery/ laser therapy for the varicosities. Take care.
