Could There Be A Chance Of Pregnancy After Having The Tubes Tied?

My mom who is 42 years old who had a child 2 years ago and then got her tubes tied, she now thinks she is pregnant again. She has taken two pregnancy tests that were both completely negative no faint line or anything. She says that her dr says that since she takes steroids it would affect the results but she says that she feels movements and has a bump.. What are the odds of her actually being pregnant? She s still waiting to hear back from the dr.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The odds of pregnancy with tubal ligation and negative pregnancy test results are almost negligible. It is highly unlikely that she is pregnant currently.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
