Hi,

I have gone through your query.
The problem of gas is aggravated after having spicy food. As the south indian foods are spicy, these may be the cause. Urd dal as such don't cause gas.
I will advise her to eat less spicy and long gap between the meals should be avoided.
She can start taking pantoprazole 40 mg daily before breakfast for a month.
