Could The Dizziness And Vertigo Be Due To The Hypertensive Drug?
Evening. I am on hypertensive drug called micardis 40mg once a day for past 14,years n my blood pressure is always 120 over 80. Past one week I was getting dizzy every time I got up n my head used to spin. So I checked my pressure n it was 142 over 83 . So I increased my micardis to 80mg this morning. But just now I took pressure n it is 153 over 83. I m a bit worried. Shud I take 40mg tab again before sleeping.? My email add is YYYY@YYYY
For micardis (Telmisartan) maximum dose is usually 80 mg, so it not desirable to take an extra tablet. I would advise you to take diuretic (Hyochlorthiazid 25mg) if you have at home. Anyway if your blood pressure is high already for some period you will need to see your doctor for correction of medications
