Could The Breathing Difficulty Be Due To Side Effects Of Medicines?

Hi I've been prescribed metoprolol 50mg,half in the morning & half at night. a month ago as my heart races a lot, I had a angiogram & drs said it was all clear. I'm also on seroquel 700mg slow release at night time fir bipola.The problem I'm having is the past 3 days at night time I'm having problems with my breathing, I feel like I can't get enough air into my lungs, my breathing is Laboured & I feel like I'm going to faint or collapse. Could urgside effects & if so why us it just starting now?

You should discontinue taking metoprolol and see the cardiologist. Metoprolol is used in patients with high blood pressure and fast heart rate. It helps normalizing heart rate but it may cause abnormal low heart rate as a side effect, so fainting, blurred vision, breathing difficulty may occur while taking this drug.
