Could Spotting Before Periods And Tender Breasts Suggest Onset Of Periods?
Hi, my period is due in 3 days time, but yesterday and today i have had some very light red/brown spotting when i have been to the toilet. I had a positive OPK 11 days ago, and had intercourse on that same day and the following 2 days. My breasts are quite tender at the moment i am needing to urinate more frequently. What could be the cause of the spotting or is this likely to be the start of my next period? Thanks
The symptoms you are describing like tender breasts and vaginal spotting are very common before menstruation.
However, if you had unprotected sexual intercourse around ovulation days, it is advisable to take a home pregnancy test to confirm if you are pregnant.
If that test comes negative, these are just indicators of menstrual event and you can ignore them.
