Could Severe Arm Pain And Numbness Be Due To Blood Clot?

My daughter just had a Biology lab where her and a partner took each others BP multiple times (10) after doing various exercises. they cranked the cuff up to 200 each time. She took it in her right arm. She is now complaining of severe arm pain and numbness. Could this possibly have caused a blood clot. I have a heating pad on her right now but don t know if I need to do anything else for her.

Hi,

This exercise of repeated BP examination would have caused symptoms due to pressure effects and a temporary nerve affection resulting in some pain and numbness. Unlikely to be a blood clot. Take medications for pain and local pain creams without massage. Do gentle exercises. She should recover soon. Continue this management for the next few days.
