Could Missed Periods With Light Pink Discharge Mean Pregnancy?

Hello, my period is irregular and I ve been late for about 19 days I think. And my fiancé and I have had unprotected sex, but I ve felt like I ve been cramping so I went to the restroom and peed and I wiped and had like a light pink color blood I guess? Could this mean I m pregnant or?

Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here. I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic.

2 ) Pink discharge is not a sign of pregnancy.

3 ) But with the history of unprotected sex act, I will suggest you to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt, blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

4 ) If the result is negative, then you need not worry about the pregnancy. You can simply wait for the onset of periods or induce the periods with Tab Regestrone 5 mg twice a day for 5 days. You will get your periods in 3 to 10 days of finishing the tablets.

5 ) Even if your test is positive for pregnancy, you can opt for termination of the pregnancy with medicines safely till 9 weeks of the pregnancy, of course under medical supervision.

6 ) Some other symptoms of early pregnancy are -
nausea, vomiting, breast pain, frequent urination, dizziness, mood change,

And you can have any of these symptoms, or none at all.
