Could Dull Pain In Chest With Palpitation And Vertigo Indicate Hypocalcaemia?
Ive got left chest pain for 3-4 months, dull and diffuse pain sometimes with palpitation. Always associated with vertigo. Ecg and echo and blood test, fbc, buse, creatinine, lft, tsh, flp, all seems normal. Currently got muscle cramp.. Is it hypocalcaemia? My gp thot it is gerd, given pantoprazole and maxalon..

The medication prescribed by your GP, pantoprazole, is used to reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach, which can help with GERD symptoms. Maxalon (metoclopramide) is used to reduce nausea and vomiting, and can also help with GERD symptoms.
It's possible that the muscle cramps you are experiencing could be related to a mineral imbalance, such as hypocalcemia. However, other causes of muscle cramps, such as dehydration or overuse, should also be considered.
If your symptoms persist or worsen, it would be best to follow up with your GP or a specialist for further evaluation and management. They may consider additional tests or imaging studies, such as a chest X-ray or CT scan, to further evaluate the cause of your chest pain.
