Could Creamy Brownish Vaginal Discharge Along With Delayed Periods Indicate Pregnancy?

Hello I think I may be pregnant, I ve had creamy brown discharge 7 days past ovulation, and I m now 14 days past ovulation, which is the same time my period would be due. At the moment I ve got dark brown discharge / dry blood on panty liner (sorry too much information!) Is this normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome to HCM.

I appreciate your concern for the brownish vaginal discharge along with delayed periods.
The features are suggestive of implantation bleeding and hence an early pregnancy.

This type of bleeding during pregnancy usually occurs 6 to 12 days after conception--close to the time when your next menstrual cycle is expected.
This is a type of normal bleeding that occurs at the time of implantation of the fertilized egg.

Alongwith nausea, vomiting, fatigue ("morning sickness"), abdominal cramps and sore breasts are other symptoms of an early pregnancy.

You are advised to consult an obstetrician for the confirmation of pregnancy like urine pregnancy test and ultrasound.

Hope this answers your query.
