Could Blood In Urine Be Due To The Side Effect Of Warfarin?
Hi, I started taking warfarin 7 days ago ,I went to the clinic this morning for my weekly blood test and my INR was4, so the doctor has lowered my dosage to 2mg (I was on 3mg}. my problem is that when I went to the toilet this evening I noticed that there was blood in my urine. Is this a common side effect?

Medicine giving for blood thinning might cause increasing prothrombin time might lead to bleeding tendency giving rise tendency of bleeding from various part of body.
Having INR more can give rise to this blood in urine.
That is why your doctor reduced the dose of Warfarin.
If passing of blood continued in urine, consult your treating doctor and discuss about this.
