Doctor told me I have strep type a after throat culture.said not to worry about would go away on own. Had had sore throat for week. Was over after about 8 days. Previous to strep 2 days before sore throat I performed oral sex on girl. Could this be an std?

HELLO AND WELCOME TO HCM. STREPTOCOCCAL INFECTION GENERALLY COMES THROUGH DROPLET INFECTION FROM ONE PERSON TO ANOTHER. IT MEANS IT COMES THROUGH ORAL AND NASAL SECRETIONS. IT DOESN'T COME DUE TO ORAL SEX. HOWEVER YOU MAY ENCOUNTER SEVERAL OTHER INFECTIONS VIA ORALSEX. IT IS NOT AN STD.
