Hi,

I guess your concern is-after a hectic long flight or ascites can cause above told health problem? Right, I got it. Firstly let me throw light on your long flight issue. Usually, after a long flight passengers have a sort of discomfort in daily activities, it could be just tiredness for someone, excessive sleepiness for someone, gastritis, loose motions, body ache, one or the other things.

These health related problems are collectively called as jet lag-in medical terms. Long hours of waiting at airport, no proper resting facilities at airport, thereby disturbed sleep. Difference of water and food causing gastritis, loose motion thereby discomfort, continuously sitting inside plane during continuous long journey etc. All these add on to discomfort to passengers. Your sister too is going through it, but she is delicate at present, as she is having cancer.

I can understand your concern about her.secondly, I would like to tell about chemotherapy for cancer. By this time, I guess your sister would be on anticancer medicines- chemotherapy. So medicines are know for there side effects, Moreover its anti cancer medicines. Patients on chemotherapy are known to have problems as told by you. Lastly-ascites-collection of liters of water like liquid inside abdomen.this will cause pain in abdomen and breathlessness, know fact in medical field.

So, jet lag+chemo+ascites, you sister in stuck in this triangular problem. Well you can try out my suggestions:-

1. Jet lag-have patience. Its matter of time. Proper rest, light food for 1-2 days would sort this issue.

2. Chemo+ascites=inevitable junctions in journey, your sister is travelling in her life.

3. Jet lag might have added problems to chemo and ascites part. So things may settle after proper rest. If still the problem persist, and hampering your sister's condition, visit your sister's treating doctor for further management.

4. ALL THAT US SISTER NEEDS NOW IS, YOUR MORAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT WITH WARMTH TOUCH OF YOU ALL RELATIVES. Sometimes your care would be more effective than medicines. I request you all to be in touch of everything she needs, a warm emotion filled care is necessary than just medicines.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
