Hi, my name is Robin. Ihave just recently stopped breast feeding this past month or so. I have had to abnormal periods within the course of two months. I have the frequent urination, fatigue, and have even gained three pounds. Yet I have had a negative pregnancy test. My next period isn t due til the 6th of January. Is there any way I could be pregnant and the test not detect it?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes false negative result of pregnancy test are possible. This are commonly in early 1-2 weeks after conceiving, these are due to less HCG hormone in urine which might not be detected due to its low amount. However, with time the amount of this hormone increases in blood. Therefore false negative tests are uncommon after early weeks of pregnancy. Most probably you are not pregnant & Your symptoms like frequent urination, fatigue might be linked to Urinary tract infection. If you missed your period which was due on the 6th of January, you should again do the pregnancy test.
Refer to a gynaecologist. Hope this information helps
