Could A Pain In The Chest Be Related To Congestive Heart Failure?

I have congestive heart failure, but I have a pacer/defib. I woke last night with a dull pain in the center of my chest. I had this pain for a couple of hours, I wasn't sure wether I should go to the hospital or not? How can you tell if it is just indigestion and nothing else?

HI, I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERN AND HEART FAILURE CONGESTIVE MAY CAUSE PAIN IN THE CHEST. This chest pain can be secondary to myocardial ischemia and therefore you should seek emergency room immediately. The approach in the emergency room is necessary to rule out that you are suffering a heart attack.

After discarding an infarction as the cause of chest pain, should make the differential diagnosis of other non-cardiac diseases such as dyspepsia, reflux disease, pulmonary disorders or diseases to the aorta.

It is important to contact your cardiologist. So, he will help the doctors on emergency room for management of your problem.
