Child Swallowed 2 Coins. Asked To Wait Till She Passes Stools. No Bowel Movement, Having Stomach Ache. Should I Be Worried?

daughter swallowed 2 coins. was rushed to sick kids, by the time they got her to the OR to remove them they had moved. they told us she should pass them in her stool. is has only been 2 days but she has not had a bowl movement yet and she is complaining her tummy hurts a lot. she will not eat and even Popsicle's hurt her belly. should I be worried? should I take her back in? or wait it out a few days? she only complains as she is eating or after playing.

Hi,
Encourage her to drink plenty of water as this may help the motility of her gut and help the passage of the coins. If she is not eating well the you could try her with her favorite foods to get her to eat a bit more.
If the pain persists another 24 hours then she should see a doctor who may want to X-ray her to see where the coins are.
