Child Suffering With High Fever, Chest Congestion. What Should Be The Dosage For Combiflam And Crocin Suspension?

My son, 5 and a half years old, is suffering from high fever since the afternoon today. He has chest congestion. Have been giving him crocin suspension ( 15 ml) but fever does not subside. So have given him 7.5 ml of combiflam suspension twice with a gap of 6 hours. He is 16 kgs now. Please let me know the correct dosage for combiflam and crocin suspension / tablet for my son.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. According to the weight of the child dosage is Syrup Crocin DS 5 ml and Syrup Combiflam 8 ml. I would suggest that you can alternate both the syrup with a gap of 6 hours.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saurabh Kumar
