Child Having Painful Lump At The Back Of The Head. Throbbing Headache And Sensitivity To Light. Tumor Chances?

My daughter has a very sore lump on the back left side of her head. It is painful to touch and she cannot lay on it. She has a throbbing headache and is sensitive to light. She has had a migraine before with these symptoms but not the lump. She cannot even lay on the left side. Any ideas, I am hoping not tumor , Thankyou Eve Gerlach

These symptoms are suggestive of a meningitis. You must also look out if she has any symptoms like vomitting, fever, neck rigidity, pain on neck movement and any rash on the body. If present you must immediately see a doctor who can decide if she can be treated as an outpatient or needs admission to the hospital.
