Child Has Watery Stools, Vomtiting, Gas, Yellow Mucus, Swollen And Hard Stomach
Almost 2mo old baby boy stays crying, was having watery poop took to e.r they said he was fine. I switched formula to prosobee soy to see if it was maybe allergy to enfamil regular. Seen a difference but kind of constipated so switched back. Now fussy, vomits, very gassy sometimes stomach very hard n swollen. Screams during bowel movement. Yesterday a little yellow mucus in one diaper now today two bowels with yellow and gray lookin clay or smthn. Please help shld i worry. He eats and sleeps great tho.

Probably the baby is suffering from infantile colick.
It is physiological ,passes away by 3-4 months spontaneously
Infants usually pass loose watery stools.
If you give formula, naturally there will be constipation.
For immediate relief you use Colicaid drops 3-4 times daily till the baby is normal or baby is 4 months old.
You need not worry.

Breast feeding should be exclusive for at least 6 months.
Possibility of getting infections, allergies are quite fair in top fed child.
Development of secondary lactose intolerance many times after a episode of diarrhea is quite cumbersome to tackle.
Bottle Hygiene is a big issue, Usually bottle is the culprit to start all the issues like infection, allergies and suppression of lactation.
Stool examination to be done like routine/microscopic/ ph/ reducing substances, along with the culture and sensitivity.
Child to be treated according to the investigation report.
In my opinion some infection is going on with your child. Which is confirmed by the stool culture report. Hence child to be given the relevant antibiotic along with some probiotic like lactobacillie according to the culture report.
If the ph of the stool is toward acidic side means 6.5 etc , and the perianal area is red and excoriated then one should think of lactose intolrance. In this case only lactose free milk to be used like simyle mct milk powder or prosoyal etc.
