Child Has Red, Splotchy Rash On Palms And Soles, Itchy, No Fever Or Mouth Sores. Suggestions?

My toddler has red splotchy rash on palms of hands and soles of feet that itch her at times. Her doctor suggested hand foot and mouth disease however, she did not have a fever or sores in her mouth. She has had this rash for several weeks now. We did not change her detergent or soaps. Do you have any suggestions about what this may be?

Well i understand your concern, it does not seems hand foot mouth disease , as it generally takes a course of 7-10 days , not several weeks . It seems baby is sufferring from some other illness , more of atopic dermatitis . For this u need some sootheners like calamine lotion along with some steroid ointment .Atopic dermatitis is generally because of allergy , or change of weather ,stress related. therefore rule out any allergan exposure and avoid it.
