Changed From Antenolol To Meteprolol For BP. Where Can I Get The Medicine Cheap?

I was just changed from antenolol to meteprolol for my blood pressure. I only paid $4.00 for 30 pills of the antenolol. When I purchased the metoptolol ER 100 MG Tab it cost me $119 45 for 90 pills...approx. $40./month. I got the prescription filled at Wallmart. Is there any place online that is reputable to get the medication cheaper? I don't have drug insurance with my medicare program. Also, I paid $5719 for 30 pills (quantity 30) of escitalopram 20 mg. I was shocked when I had to pay for this medication!

Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

It would have been interesting to know why your doctor changed your script from antenolol to metoprolol which are both beta blockers. Is it that the medication was no longer working or you developed side effects. The likelihood for you to face the same problems with metoprolol despite the change is very likely. I suggest you get back to your doctor so he can explain to you the reason for the change and if there was no particular reason, it is best to place you back on the same drugs. It will be unwise to attempt to purchase a medication from an online store as most might not have accreditation to sell online. I also suggest you sign up for a drug insurance with medicare or another health insurance company to avoid purchasing drugs expensively.

Hope this helps
