Dear Roli, you should get in touch with your doctor as your TSH is low means the tablets dose needs adjustment. There could be other reason for not losing weight.Other hormones may also be responsible. It is better that you consult an endocrinologist in your city and take his advise.bye.

My doctor prescribed synthroid for my hypothyroid problem. Since I started taking it 5 days ago, my insomnia has gotten much worse. I have only been getting about 4 hours of sleep each night. Is there another hypothyroid medication that you can recommend which would not effect my ability to sleep? Thank you, Marsha

I am 18 years old and last month on the 24th had diarrhea the whole day and constant urges to go even when nothing was left. Pepto Bismo didn t help and I was recommended another type of diarrhea medicine. That helped but since then I still not feel better (normal at all). Iam fine one day and then the next all over again constant urges to go to the bathroom. Now its July 17 and for the past week I started having abdominal pain mostly lower, some upper. Every time I have to go to the bathroom I get a rush and while I am using the bathroom I am having sharp pain like someone is stabbing my lower stomach. I have never had these types of problems. I never even get constipated and I don t feel like that now either. Its more like I go to the bathroom and have sharp stomach pain with it. Sometimes I still feel like I need to go, but then nothing but pain or maybe some gas. I am really getting worried now because its apparent this is not a stomach virus anymore, its been too long. Also my feces had been looking very strange. Its usually brown. One day it was green, other times it looks light and theres stuff around it and when I look I see little fluffy stuff floating in the toilet and all around the feces. There is no blood but I am still scared. What can this be? Please help

I am having acute right upper quadrant pain. It woke me up about an hour and a half ago. I am trying to decide if I need to go to the ER or not. I had gastric banding in July of this year but have never had any problems. Feel just slightly queasy.

Hello, I am 40, male, non-smoker, 6ft tall and weighing 194lbs. I ve been losing weight for the past 5 months. In March I went to my cardiologist to have my heart checked. Since then I am on Lisinopril 20mg to control my bloodpressure. All the tests were fine. At the time of my doctors visit I was weighing 230lbs. So I dropped around 36 pounds in 5 months. Is that normal? Also, it doesn t stop. I keep losing weight. I changed my diet a little bit, but nothing radical though. Less soft drinks and deep fried food, other than that I have decent lunch and dinner. I don t have any pain or loss of appetite. My bowel movement is normal and stool color is light-brown to brown. Could Lisinopril be the cause of my weight loss? Also, I have anxiety and get very nervous with the slidest pain. Could anxiety also be a cause? Your thoughts and comments are more than welcome. Many thanks Michael

I am 74 y/o male who's been losing weight over the past 3 months. Total weight loss has been 3 kilos for 3 months. I have been constipated and my bowel movements have been irregular but my appetite has never changed and I still eat pretty well. I don't have any abdominal complaints. What could be causing this? I also eat fiber-rich foods but to no avail, I'm still constipated.
